| Children's Classes Iron Eagle offers classes for children ages four and up. We offer an Eagles class for ages 4-8 years old and a Juniors class for ages 9 and up. Middle school students/teens are welcome to attend both juniors and adult classes. High school students attend our adult classes. Self Confidence & Self Discipline Students gain self confidence and learn self discipline. Students learn that they are important. They learn about personal space, respecting others feelings and property, and good sportsmanship. Students learn to believe in themselves! We stress academic excellence. Report cards are checked each marking period. Students are reminded to do their homework, respect their parents and teachers, and pay attention in school. Self Defense - Martial Arts The students learn the basic hand strikes and kicks of Hapkido, sparring, and much more. Students learn rolling and falling techniques. In addition, students acquire self defense techniques that may be applied to various situations.--This is Hapkido's speciality. Training offers students great physical exercise which help keep their bodies in shape. Foremost, the students are taught to use their martial arts training only when someone is trying to hurt them. At Iron Eagle, when all students are practicing, safety is a priority. In life, we stress that you use your head first, hands second. Think before you act. Martial arts training is to be used in self defense only if someone is trying to physically hurt you. Student Promotions When students advance ranks, parents are part of our promotional ceremony. Students thank their parents for allowing them to train. They hug and kiss their parents after their parents tie the new belt around their waist. We do not have monthly rank testing. Each student is an individual and Master Mike determines when each student is ready for their next advancement. Karate Birthday Parties Try out our fun-filled and action- packed parties. Students learn karate moves, play games, etc. Your child will cut his/her cake with a real sword. The party lasts for 1 ½ hours and are on Sat. or Sun. (Unless other arrangements are made.) The cost is $200.00 for 20 children. Each additional child over 20 is s $5.00 per student. Parents may provide optional pizza, cake, goodie bags, etc. The birthday child will receive a karate t-shirt. Stop by and talk to our many satisfied parents/students who have had parties.
