Adult Classes

Iron Eagle prides itself on being of direct lineage to the founder of Hapkido, the Grandmaster
Choi, Yong Sool. Grandmaster Lim, Hyun Soo, 9th Dan and a successor to the founder is the
chief instructor, Master Michael D'Aloia's teacher. Master D'Aloia has embarked on numerous
journeys to Korea to obtain his training.  Please contact us via phone or email for tuition rates.

Hapkido Training

Iron Eagle offers classes for adults of all ages in an ego-free training environment. Students
gain self confidence, acquire self discipline, and learn self defense. Hapkido focuses on being a
"practical" martial art for all ages.  We practice special Jung Ki training exercises to strengthen
our Hapkido techniques.  There are no forms/patterns/katas in Hapkido. Students are taught
intricate joint/wrist locks and pressure point techniques which are specialty areas in Hapkido.
In addition, they are taught various kicks, hand strikes, rolls/falls, throws, weapon defense,
and much more. Hapkido is a combative art, not meant for sport. Hapkido is a martial art
designed for self defense.  In Hapkido the defender absorbs the attacker's energy and
re-directs it to his/her advantage.

Hapkido History

Many students seek out to study the true art of Hapkido and are misled. Iron Eagle Hapkido
and the   Korea Jungki Hapkido and Kuhapdo in America, has its roots directly back to the
home of Hapkido in Daegu City,  South Korea
(www.jungkikwan.com).  Hapkido was founded
by Founder Choi, Yong Sul.  Grandmaster Lim, Master Michael D'Aloia's teacher studied with
the founder for 19 years.  At Iron Eagle we are true to the original  Hapkido techniques as
passed on from Founder Choi to Grandmaster Lim.

Korea Training Trips to the Jung Ki Kwan

Every year Master D'Aloia and his invited students  travel to the Jung Ki Kwan for traditional
Korean Hapkido training.  Students practice Hapkido and Kuhapdo (sword).  Grandmaster
Lim and his Korean masters instruct the special training camp.

Grandmaster Lim U.S.A. Seminars

Master Michael D'Aloia and Master Sheryl Glidden, directors of the Korea Jung Ki Hapkido and
Kuhapdo Association of America has hosted Grandmaster Lim in 2005 and 2007.  He visited
the U.S. and instructed numeorus East Coast seminars on Jung Ki  Hapkido & Kuhapdo.
Students in our school have the opportunity to train with this living legend.

Master D'Aloia - Seminars

Master D'Aloia has instructed numerous Hapkido seminars around the U.S.  If you are a
martial arts school interested in learning Jung Ki Hapkido and/or Kuhapdo, please contact
Master D'Aloia (201) 320-4067 for seminar information/rates.  He is happy to visit your

Chung Suk Kuhapdo - Sword Classes

Iron Eagle offers Chung Suk Kuhapdo (sword ) classes.  This is a separate art from Hapkido.
Kuhap stands for a cutting act while standing up from a sitting posture.   In America and
Europe they have translated it as quick display of the sword.   Kuhapdo is a martial art that
has a profound truth.  By practicing  the right way of the sword, you get to know an
indomitable spirit, a respectful courtesy, and thus get to reach a stage of being free of all
thoughts.
